ABOUT

The Grand Lodge Daughters of Norway offers scholarships to full-time college, university, technical or vocational students who are either a member of, or related to a member of the Daughters of Norway. Details follow on other requirements. The number of awards varies with the funds, but at least one award of $1,000 is offered each year, with a second award in Convention years. Application forms are also sent to Subordinate Lodge secretaries, who have them available for members during the spring months.

WHO CAN APPLY

A scholarship may only be granted to a student registered in a full-time program at an accredited institution of higher education, i.e. college, university, technical school or vocational school. The student must have completed at least one full year or have at least sophomore standing and have a grade point average of 2.7 or better. The recipient must be a member of the Daughters of Norway or be related to a member. The Scholarship Committee will determine other pertinent criteria in its selection of prospective recipients. "An applicant may apply for a Grand Lodge Scholarship as often as desired, but a recipient of an award may not re-apply." (Constitution of the Daughters of Norway, Article X, July 2006)
