Celebrating our Nordic heritage for over 100 years!
Originally started as a newsletter, the Døtre Av Norge evolved into a tabloid sized newspaper for many years. This year, it evolved into a news magazine.
Døtre Av Norge, now in 8.5 x 11 inch format, is published every other month. It is usually 32 pages in grayscale, although some issues may have some color. This magazine is sent to all Daughters of Norway members. Each bi-monthly issue reaches more than 1600 Scandinavian women.
Content varies according to season and upcoming events, but every issue has a Presidents message, a list of Grand Lodge officers, membership updates, memorials/donations, lodge birthday greetings, and lodge reports.
Nordic feature stories are plentiful and cover such areas fascinating people, history, arts, textiles, music, crafts, and art. The magazine also features Scandinavian articles, recipes, and more. Book and movie reviews will also be found in most issues. The news magazine provides interesting reading!
Additional articles are occasionally submitted by various organizations and friends of the organization. In the past, we had informative articles on genealogy in a section called Root Cellar (see left column for a few samples).

If you have an idea for a story, please contact the managing editor, K Cahill. We do not pay for stories, but we do lavish praise and adoration on our authors. Articles, book reviews, etc. have a lead time of at least 6-8 months.
